Parents as Teachers: You are your child’s most important teacher!

The Voluntown Youth Service Bureau offers Parents as Teachers, one of the nation’s most successful and highly respected early childhood programs, free of charge to Voluntown parents of infants and toddlers (pregnancy to age 3).  This program gives information, support and encouragement to parents during the early, critical years of their child’s life, years which provide the foundation for success in school and in life.  Parents are their children’s first and most influential teachers, and participation in the Parents as Teachers program provides them with the information and support they need to give their child the best possible start in life.  For more information, or to schedule an appointment, contact the YSB Director, Melinda Bryan (860-694-8733) or call our PAT Parent Educator, Judith Allik, at 860-376-2353.  To learn more about the international program, go to http://www.parentsasteachers.org/.
