Program Name: Crazy 8's Math

Instructor: Mrs. Vaillancourt/Mrs. Davis

Grades:  3 - 5

Time:  3:20 - 4:30pm

Fee:   FREE

Program Description:

"Crazy 8s math club is a recreational after-school activity that’s designed to get kids firedup about math.  It will be fun for kids of ALL math abilities.  Every week students will getto do fun stuff, like building glow-in-the-dark structures, cracking secret spy codes, and playing games like Bouncy Dice Explosion and Toilet Paper Olympics.  The goal of Crazy 8s is to show that math is fun and recreational, not compulsory, in order to change our culture and get kids to think of math as play."

Program Name: CAD (Computer-Aided Design) & 3D Printing

Instructor: Mr. Ward

Grades: 5 - 8

Time: 3:20 - 4:30pm

Fee:   $10

Program Description:

Students will spend much of the time learning and experimenting with a simple online CAD (computer aided drawing) application, TinkerCAD. They will use this application to design a keychain, button, badge or some other small 3D object. Students will then learn how to save their project, load it into a 3D printer and watch it print.

Calling all budding artists, mathematicians, and engineers! Please join us for our first ever family STEAM night. Families will be able to visit different stations and try out a variety of STEAM activities, like building a constellation using marshmallows and toothpicks or investigating with sounds and colors. Free pizza will be available.

Parents as Teachers: You are your child’s most important teacher!
